Job Summary: Area Sales Engineer – Industrial Electrical Connection Solutions, Switchgear, Power Distribution & ATEX Products. Negotiation Basic DOE c. £55K plus £15K bonus, Company Car, Health Insurance Allowance, and additional benefits including car pension, mobile, laptop, 25 days Annual Leave plus Statutory Holidays.
Client Overview: Our client is a leading global manufacturer of high quality connection solutions for the industrial electrical sector. They design, manufacture and control materials in-house, maintaining a market‐leading product portfolio and a customer‐focused approach.
Responsibilities: You will build on existing accounts and pursue new business development, maintaining and further developing relationships with distribution partners across the Western/M6 corridor (Lancashire to Swindon, including Wales). You will sell the full portfolio of industrial electrical connection solutions, control stations and ATEX products to industrial end users, OEMs, system integrators, panel builders, distributors and wholesale resellers across all industry sectors.
Qualifications: Current experience as an Area Sales Engineer, Field Sales, Area Sales Manager, Sales Representative or Business Development Manager in the electrical industrial sector. Strong technical sales background selling electrical products and components, typically for a niche manufacturer. Ability to identify suitable projects, achieve specification or preferred supplier status, engage consultants, major contractors and manage the process to order stage. Technical background in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent, with demonstrable knowledge of controls industry components and commercial acumen.
Location & Travel: Home‐based/Field based. Territory covers the Western/M6 corridor from Lancashire down to Swindon on the West of England and includes Wales. Post codes used for advertising only.
