Area Sales Engineer for Industrial Electrical Connection Solutions, Switchgear, Power Distribution & ATEX Products. Basic salary DOE c. £55K plus £15K bonus, Company Car, Health Insurance Allowance, and additional benefits including pension, mobile, laptop, and 25 days Annual Leave plus Statutory Holidays.
Our Client, a leading global manufacturer of high-quality connection solutions for the industrial electrical sector, requires an Area Sales Engineer with sales experience in the electrical industrial marketplace to manage the sales territory across the Western/M6 corridor Region of England. This independent company has a global presence, full in-house design, manufacture, and materials control, a market-leading product, and a customer-focused approach to providing solutions.
You will be building upon existing accounts alongside new business development, maintaining and further developing relationships with distribution partners in your territory, selling the Company's full portfolio of high-quality industrial electrical connection solutions, control stations, and ATEX products to the industrial sector across a wide range of applications via End Users, OEMs, System Integrators, Panel Builders, distributors, and wholesale resellers across all industry sectors.
As the successful candidate, you are likely to be currently working within the Electrical Industrial sector as an Area Sales Engineer, Field Sales, Area Sales Manager, Sales Representative, or Business Development Manager. You will have a strong and successful technical sales background selling electrical products and components, probably for a niche manufacturer, identifying suitable projects and industry sector targets, achieving specification or preferred supplier status, dealing with consultants, major contractors, and following through to order stage.
The territory may be described as the M6 corridor and extends from Lancashire down to Swindon on the West of England and includes Wales. You will be Home based/Field based. Technical qualifications are likely to be in an Electrical/Electronic Engineering discipline, or a candidate experienced in the Electrical sector able to illustrate experience and technical ability in the controls industry and components, along with commercial flair and experience in the sector.
