Overview
Area Sales Engineer – Industrial Electrical Control & Automation. Excellent negotiable salary, DOE, plus bonus, share scheme, quality company car, pension, and more. 25 days plus statutory holidays.
On behalf of our client, we have an excellent opportunity in the technical sales team of this rapidly growing business for an experienced field‑based Area Sales Engineer with a proven track record as a business developer and excellent salesman in the Electrical Control and Automation industry to join a first‑class business.

- Process Instrumentation
In addition, the role involves providing customized and packaged solutions for OEM, End‑User, System Integrator and Panel Builder markets across the M62/M180 corridor, West Yorkshire, and parts of Greater Manchester & Cheshire.
Qualifications & Experience
Qualifications include a formal qualification in an Electrical/Electronic discipline – desirable but not essential. Demonstrated knowledge, sales skill and a record of sales success in the industrial automation industry are required. Beneficial if the candidate has pursued career‑development training to enhance sales skills.
Responsibilities
Work to achieve defined sales targets and develop a personal plan to reach objectives through managing and expanding an existing portfolio of accounts while continually identifying new business opportunities. Manage customer relationships, prepare proposals, conduct product demonstrations, and maintain market knowledge. Work Monday to Friday during normal office hours, with flexibility for extensive road travel required for external sales.
Required Skills
Excellent organisational and communication abilities, an effective team player, the ability to work autonomously, and proficiency with Microsoft Office packages.
