Sales Executive – M62 corridor and North of England – Neg up to c. £35K P.A. basic salary, plus Bonus, Car, Pension, Mobile, Laptop, product training and on-going development.

On behalf of our Client we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced field sales executive seeking to join a leading team in the sector. My Client, a leading player in their field and still expanding, requires an experienced and enthusiastic sales representative to help sell and promote their range of products to new and existing clients in and around the M62 corridor and the North of England. This will mostly be concentrated around the main population and industrial areas of South Yorkshire, East and West Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and Lancashire, including Huddersfield, York, Leeds, Bradford, Halifax, Manchester, Warrington, Stockport, Oldham etc.

Ideally living in Huddersfield, Leeds, Bradford, Halifax areas with good access to major road networks. This is a Field based sales role, in which you will inherit a highly successful territory with an extensive, established customer base of existing accounts, which you will manage, continuing the development of business, whilst also seeking out new customers and relationships. Managing your own diary, with typically 4 days per week travelling to visit customers and working from a home office approx 1 day per week.

The range of products is vast and second to none with most of the major leading brands in their sector available and the strength of being the leading distributor in the UK in certain product areas. The role is a full time role, however, we understand you are able to buy additional holiday time up to 4 additional weeks. Full induction training on products and systems along with on-going regular product training, and full support to assist you in your success. Technical support will always be available to assist you and your customers when required.

You will be working to achieve a target and as is normal will need to file reports to the office detailing your activities on a regular basis.

The person:

  • Applicants must have previous customer facing, field based sales experience, with probably at least 3 years experience in external sales, and be able to demonstrate understanding of the sales process.
  • Whilst no direct product experience is necessary, any experience in the electrical wholesale sector could be an advantage.
  • You will have proven sales success as a Sales Representative, Sales Executive or Account Manager and will show an ability to learn quickly and think on your feet.
  • You must enjoy dealing with people, be bright and cheerful and have an outgoing personality, self-motivated and have a strong desire to succeed, be able to quickly form relationships with customers, a good communicator, team player yet driven enough to operate independently.
