You will also have a specialism within the team where you will own that topic.

You directly oversee campaign and reactive execution, ensuring quality of work across the team, developing our ways of working to ensure we’re leading the industry. Your standards and attention to detail are high, and you focus on ensuring all Rise PR output is A-class. You will also manage a portfolio of PR accounts, set strategies, participate in new business activity, and provide strategic support to clients.

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead the UK PR team from a results perspective, ensuring clients are on track with their monthly targets and their North Star.
  • Conduct regular training sessions with the entire PR team.

  • Develop new processes and services that drive the creativity and vision of Rise externally.
  • Inspire the team in day-to-day creativity.
  • Work closely with the US on sharing training and processes.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships by ensuring delivery against client KPIs and expectations.
  • See around corners - demonstrate an understanding of potential issues facing your clients and offer appropriate solutions, implementing them seamlessly.
  • Further grow expertise as an expert media relations practitioner, and ensure your team’s media output is exemplary.
  • Develop and maintain senior media contacts and develop team media relations and outreach strategies through introductions and face-to-face appointments.
  • Develop and maintain talent, influencer, community and network relationships.
  • Lead, organise and participate in internal creative ideation.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, developments, and opportunities – and share with team.
  • Ensure regular internal meetings take place on all clients – with team roles and responsibilities established on a weekly basis with the wider agency.
  • Ensure that all client & internal deadlines are respected and adhered to (for you & direct reports).
  • Deliver written documents and communication with an excellent attention to detail.
  • Develop and drive sector-specific new business outreach; including pro-bono opportunities.
  • Develop case studies to ensure great work is captured.
  • Fully understand client finances and billing processes and how the agency makes money.
  • Liaise with clients on production budgets for each campaign activity – ensuring all budgets are approved.
  • Manage expectations. Manage upwards at all times and ensure the senior team is aware of all challenges and issues (both related to clients and personal).
  • Act as a positive role model for your direct team, peers and across the wider business.
  • Manage PDP’s for PR Lead/senior members of the team and other direct reports - create KPIs and objectives during review processes.
  • Support marketing for UK growth.
  • Demonstrate positive contribution to the overall agency – beyond your day-to-day account/client work.
