This job is based in London/Manchester. As a Digital PR strategist, you will be the command centre of your account, adept at developing, selling in, managing, and evaluating PR campaigns and ongoing reactive PR activity for a number of clients, building strong relationships and trust. You should have a good commercial IQ and understand how to manage agency profitability and client budgets. A minimum of three years' experience in PR agency side is required, with some experience in digital and traditional PR as well as a good understanding of SEO and social media platform operations.
Responsibilities
- Onboarding clients into PR, making budgeting recommendations and roadmap creation.
- Manage the client accounts plan for our campaigns and reactive PR service.
- Drive and own the performance of your account, responsible for hitting KPIs and retaining clients.
- Create detailed reports on PR performance, proving ROI to clients.
- Communicate directly with clients, keeping them informed, educated, and excited.
- Ask insightful questions to understand the brief and set KPIs for the PR team.
- Report on PR performance internally to the Head of Digital PR.
- Work to improve client performance and deliver regular high-quality results for brand, SEO, and PR.
- Manage the workload of executives working on your account, ensuring tasks are completed.
- Train, supervise, direct, and sign off PR execution angles and releases for your account.
- Pull together the account team to design, develop, and deliver campaigns.
- Own campaign ideation and brainstorming, collaborating closely with the creative team.
- Own reactive PR ideation and strategy, providing creative PR ideas to land customers in current news moments.
PR Skills
- Act as a media liaison, with great media contacts, ready to sell star stories and mentor teams.
- Understand industry analysis and know PR trends, creating thought leadership to market the agency.
- Develop and run data-first ideas using audience data and relevant topics.
- Write press releases and lead strategy on media lists, creating outreach approaches for executives.
- Ensure PR sell-in tactics are successful and understand what stories the press like to cover.
- Be aware of competitors' strategies for landing links and media placements.
- Spot opportunities to deliver above and beyond link targets.
Internal Responsibilities
- Work on new business for the agency and run pitches to drive revenue.
- Drive agency culture through everyday work and engagement with the team.
- Support the PR Lead in training junior team members.
- Contribute to creating and improving operational processes within the PR team.
- Contribute to agency and campaign marketing.
