Job Type: Temporary – Ongoing

Standard Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Mon – Thurs)

Pay Rates & Shift Timings

  • Day Shift: £17.95 per hour
  • Night Shift: £23.93 per hour
  • Overtime (First 10 hours): £26.93 per hour
  • Overtime (After 10 hours): £35.90 per hour

Shift Patterns

  • Day Shift: Monday: 07:00 – 17:15, Tuesday to Thursday: 07:00 – 16:45
  • Night Shift: Monday: 21:00 – 07:15, Tuesday to Thursday: 21:00 – 06:45

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret complex schematic drawings to plan assembly methods and sequences.
  • Perform diverse electrical tasks, including wiring, installation, terminations, connecting panels, crimping, and upfitting cable trays/ladder racks and conduits on gensets and enclosures.
  • Safely operate a wide variety of power and hand tools.
  • Identify and report any equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Strict compliance with site health, safety, quality standards, and the 5S programme.
  • Train and mentor other team members when required.
  • Maintain professional conduct aligned with company core values and support business improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Qualifications: Formal Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, or an equivalent relevant electrical qualification.
  • Hands-on Experience: Proven track record in electrical wiring, installation, terminations, panel connection, and conduit/cable tray fitting.
  • Environment: Experience working within a lean manufacturing environment and to defined process times is preferred.
  • Capabilities: Comfort working at heights and in enclosed/confined work areas.
  • Mindset: Strong attention to detail, a keen commitment to safety, and a proactive attitude.
  • IT Skills: Basic computer literacy is advantageous (though not essential).
