Global Payroll Lead, Subject Matter Expert
What will you do?
- Become a product expert on our Global Payroll (and other HR) capabilities for UK customers.
- Create content and documentation to cover the existing product behaviour, update for changes, and build FAQs to support internal enablement.
- Analyse support interactions to build a POV on the quality of the support interactions.
- Interface with the country Product Manager to share support volume trends, drivers of bad customer interactions, and compliance issues.
- Act as a resource to Customer Support Specialists on regionally nuanced interactions for your country of expertise.
- Step into escalated customer interactions to resolve issues by leveraging platform and industry expertise.
Required qualifications (UK)
- 5+ years of hands-on UK payroll experience, preferably in a payroll provider, HR software company, or in-house payroll function (e.g., HMRC RTI, PAYE, ADP, Sage, Workday).
- Deep knowledge of UK payroll regulations, including tax, National Insurance, pension auto-enrolment, and statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP, etc.).
- Strong understanding of payroll processing, wage types, statutory deductions, and compliance reporting.
- Experience with payroll compliance audits and handling payroll-related inquiries from HMRC.
- Ability to interpret and apply UK employment laws as they relate to payroll (e.g., National Minimum Wage, holiday pay, redundancy pay, Working Time Regulations).
- Strong client-facing skills with experience managing enterprise client relationships.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot payroll discrepancies.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
This is a hybrid position and will require 3 days in office per week.
