Job Description
Our client, a successful and growing business in the access solutions sector, is seeking a qualified Lift Engineer to join their engineering team. Based out of their North Hampshire hub, this role focuses on the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of specialist access and low-rise lifting equipment across the UK.
This is a varied, hands-on role that blends field engineering with quality control, auditing, and mentoring an in-house apprentice.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out field installations, routine servicing, repairs, and fault diagnostics on low-rise and access lifting equipment.
- Conduct internal quality audits to ensure work meets safety and compliance standards.
- Support and mentor the business's in-house apprentice engineer.
- Liaise with subcontractors and internal colleagues to solve site-based technical issues.
- Deliver exceptional, professional service to clients on site.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- NVQ Level 3 in Lift & Escalator (Essential).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Solid technical background in lift installation, maintenance, and diagnostics.
- Self-motivated approach with strong technical problem-solving ability.
- Flexibility to manage occasional overnight stays for national projects.
