At Ripple Education, we are a trusted local Education Supply Agency providing high-quality teaching and support staff to specialist and mainstream settings across the North East. We are currently recruiting Teachers for specialist settings.

The Role

We are seeking dedicated, resilient and compassionate Teachers to support students within highly specialised settings across Northumberland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the educational and emotional development of students in the classroom.
  • Build trusted relationships with young people while maintaining clear professional boundaries.
  • Plan and deliver structured lessons, tailored interventions and activities focused on personal development and vocational skills.
  • Provide 1:1 and group support, encouraging engagement, resilience and progress.
  • Assist with managing behaviour using specialist approaches.
  • Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times.

Person Specification

Minimum Essential Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Minimum of 2 references
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
  • QTS / Teaching Experience

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience supporting young people with behavioural, emotional or social difficulties, ideally in a secure or SEN environment
  • Training in de-escalation and trauma-informed practice (or willingness to undertake training).
  • Experience in residential, SEN or PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) settings.
