Position Overview
As an SEN Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping children with special educational needs reach their full potential. We understand that you may not have prior experience in this field, but if your heart truly lies in making a positive impact on the lives of children, Ripple Education will provide bespoke training and support to guide your journey in this rewarding career.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs
- Assist in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs)
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment for all pupils
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure children's needs are met effectively
- Encourage independence and development in pupils, both academically and socially
Qualifications/Experience
- A genuine passion for working with children and making a difference in their lives.
- Compassion, patience, and empathy for individuals with special educational needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of individual students.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow guidance from experienced professionals.
- Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant / Level 6 Qualification - Degree
