Take a look at our Google reviews and hear directly from the team who work with us.What we're looking forYou'll ideally have:Relevant experience working with children or young peopleA patient, calm and compassionate approachA genuine interest in supporting children with additional needsThe ability to build positive and trusting relationships while maintaining professional boundariesThe ability to adapt your approach to the individual needs of a childGood communication and teamwork skillsA good understanding of safeguardingA willingness to undertake relevant SEND training and professional developmentA relevant Teaching Assistant, Learning Support or childcare qualification would be beneficial.Previous experience supporting children with SEND is highly valued. We also welcome applications from experienced education and childcare professionals whose existing skills and experience may transfer effectively into a SEND setting.The roleDepending on the placement and individual needs of the children you support, you may:Provide 1:1, small-group or classroom supportSupport children with their learning, communication and developmentHelp pupils develop independence, confidence and social skillsAdapt activities and resources to meet individual needsSupport children with emotional regulation and engagementWork alongside teachers, SENCOs and other education professionalsProvide personal and intimate care where requiredHelp create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environmentFollow individual school and Ripple Education safeguarding procedures at all timesSafer Recruitment RequirementsWe take our responsibility to safeguard children extremely seriously.
