At Ripple Education, we’re proud to support schools across Northumberland with high-quality school staff and right now, we’re looking for a catering assistant to join one of our lovely schools in the Haydon Bridge and Hexham Area.

Person Specification

Minimum Essential Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Minimum of 2 references
  • Enhanced DBS clearance

Experience/Qualifications

  • Have a basic food hygiene certificate
  • Experience of working in a school kitchen or similar environment

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook and serve food following agreed menus and accommodating any special dietary requirements
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the school kitchen including equipment and surrounding working areas
  • Set up and clear away after lunch including washing up and cleaning tables
  • Comply with all food and Health and Safety standards and regulations
  • Take responsibility for maintaining and ordering stock and ensure appropriate storage and labelling procedures are followed
