Our specialist opportunities include working with children and young people who may have social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, additional SEND needs, have experienced disruption to their education, or require additional support to successfully engage with learning.

What we’re looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with children or young people in an education setting
- A calm, consistent and compassionate approach
- The ability to establish positive relationships while maintaining clear professional boundaries
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- An understanding of safeguarding and the additional vulnerabilities some young people may experience
- The resilience and flexibility to adapt your approach to individual pupils
- Experience within SEND, SEMH, Alternative Provision, PRU or specialist settings would be beneficial.
The role may involve:
- Planning and delivering engaging, structured lessons
- Adapting teaching to individual learning and additional needs
- Supporting pupils individually and in small groups
- Building trusted and consistent relationships with young people
- Helping pupils develop confidence, resilience and engagement with education
- Using positive behaviour support and de-escalation strategies
- Working closely with support staff and other professionals
- Following the setting and Ripple Education safeguarding procedures at all times
