We are seeking dedicated, resilient and compassionate teachers to support students within highly specialised settings in Middlesbrough and the surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the educational and emotional development of students in the classroom.
- Build trusted relationships with young people while maintaining clear professional boundaries.
- Plan and deliver structured lessons, tailored interventions and activities focused on personal development and vocational skills.
- Provide 1:1 and group support, encouraging engagement, resilience and progress.
- Assist with managing behaviour using specialist approaches.
- Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times.
Person Specification
- Right to work in the UK
- Minimum of 2 references
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- QTS / Teaching Experience
- Experience supporting young people with behavioural, emotional or social difficulties, ideally in an Alternative Provision or SEN environment.
- Training in de-escalation and trauma-informed practice (or willingness to undertake training).
- Experience in residential, SEN or PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) settings.
