We are NHS Resolution, an arms length body operating under the Department of Health and Social Care. At our core, we specialise in claims management, dispute resolution, and knowledge sharing within the NHS. Our purpose is to provide expertise to the NHS to resolve concerns fairly, share learning for improvement and preserve resources for patient care.
Our Claims directorate is responsible for managing a total of ten indemnity schemes covering clinical and non-clinical legal liabilities of NHS organisations in England and independent sector providers of care to NHS patients.
The NHS Resolution Claims Management function has entered the next phase of its transformation and expansion, with a vision to create a single, integrated claims service supported by an efficient organisational structure. This structure is designed to reduce duplication, improve consistency, and enable teams to further develop their skills. To support this, the Claims Support Service was established to streamline and enhance the claims handling process.
Our Claims Assistants take responsibility for the process-driven and administrative tasks that occur throughout the life cycle of a claim. By transferring these activities to a dedicated team, our Case Managers are able to focus on progressing claims to a timely and satisfactory resolution. This shift has also led to improved data accuracy, fewer delays, and more efficient workflows.
We are now seeking Claims Assistants to join the Claims Support Service, working alongside regional teams to provide high-quality administrative support in the management of claims. An effective administrative function, delivered by skilled and motivated Claims Assistants, is essential to the successful delivery of NHS Resolutions strategy and to achieving excellence in our services. This role offers flexible working with a possibility to work on a hybrid or homeworking basis from our Leeds offices.
