We are seeking an associate safety and learning lead (general practice) for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract or secondment, with the potential to become permanent.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Work in close collaboration with the Safety and Learning Lead (General Practice) to develop excellent relationships with beneficiaries of the Clinical Negligence Scheme for General Practice (CNSGP) across England and internally with the regionally linked NHS Resolution team to embed safety and learning, identify regional needs and risks as well as encourage partnership working with an emphasis on learning from claims.
- Co‑design and collaborate with a primary care strategy for engagement with a determined number of regionally located beneficiary organisations.
- Deploy strong communication skills to undertake regular engagement opportunities in a range of ways with regionally focused beneficiaries and other partners (e.g. via event presentations, individual meetings, telephone conferences, webinars).
- Contribute to the strategic planning of team projects, identifying interdependencies across projects/functions, potential impacts on the business plan of the Safety and Learning Team and resource requirements as necessary.
- Collate qualitative and quantitative information on beneficiary reporting on a regular basis on regional engagement and intelligence derived from multiple contacts.
- Support a learning culture through the development of high‑quality learning responses.
- Undertake and support others to understand the importance of patient safety and the themes seen within the general practice claims data, leading to measurable cultural change in patient safety.
- Establish contacts with regionally located leads of national bodies (e.g. Royal College of General Practitioners, Royal College of Nursing, Health and Care Professions Council, local medical committees, NHS England) and identify opportunities for information sharing to create a more comprehensive national picture of the safety profile of beneficiary organisations and local intelligence.
- Travel to different locations to deliver in‑person sessions/meetings as required.
