Area Sales Manager
Reporting to the Group Sales Manager, the Area Sales Manager will be required to visit customers at their premises.
You will be responsible for maintaining existing accounts as well as generating new business within your sales area.
Through our state‑of‑the‑art CRM system you will prioritise your workload and manage your own diary to achieve your targets and meet business goals.
You must be computer literate and able to prioritise your workload in an efficient and flexible manner.
To succeed in this role, you will have excellent communication skills and the ability to forge professional working relationships with new and existing customers.
You must be commercially minded and have the drive and ambition to expand existing business and develop new accounts in your sales area.
Responsibilities
- Represent the dealership in the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales area.
- Develop customer relationships to achieve sales targets and grow market share within your sales area.
- Maintain current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment and services, and attend relevant sales training events.
- Possess knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods.
- Conduct new equipment field demonstrations.
- Execute goods delivery and follow‑up according to the procedure.
- Build strong and loyal relationships with defined sales area customers.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of equipment sales experience.
- Good knowledge of agricultural equipment and farming operational practices.
- Ability to use standard computer applications, CRM systems, internet functions and sales tools.
- Familiarity with John Deere and competitive products.
- Ability to analyse and interpret internal reports.
- Ability to work extended hours.
- Excellent attitude with integrity and honesty.
