Role Overview

Essential duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Collaborates to ensure sales metrics and goals are met for a specific region or customer segments.
  • Manages and coaches sales professionals in a specific region or customer segment.
  • Supports the Commercial Director and Area Sales Managers with quotes, discounts, trade-ins, finance/credit requirements, and internal approvals to ensure commercially compliant and customer-ready proposals.
  • Manages pre-order processes, ensuring customer requirements are captured, eligibility checks are completed, and lead times are confirmed prior to ordering.
  • Supports order configuration activities, validating specifications/options, compatibility, pricing, and approvals before submission.
  • Oversees CRM management activities, ensuring opportunities, customer records, notes, and pipeline stages are accurate and kept up to date.
  • Ensures that a consistent sales process is followed for their region or customer segment.
  • Ensures the sales document process is established and followed by sales team members for their region or customer segment.
  • Supports used and new whole goods inventory levels and metrics.
  • Processes and places sales orders, ensuring all documentation is complete, order details are accurate, and hand-offs to operations/delivery are coordinated.
  • Supports recruiting, staffing and is responsible for employee development, training, activities for direct reports.
  • Supports shows, events and customer trips, with occasional travel required.
  • Works with internal stakeholders to promote customer satisfaction.
  • Manages budgets for a specific region or customer segment, aligning with the organisation’s financial and operational objectives.
  • Supports creation of the Sales Department business plan.
  • Works with the sales management team to identify and execute best practices.
