Ripon Group, one of the largest John Deere dealers in the UK, is expanding its Professional Turf division to support continued growth across a wider service area covering Burnley, Leeds, Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield, Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield. To support this expansion, we are seeking experienced and motivated Turf / Ground Care Technicians to join our professional service team. We are looking for both mobile and depot based Technicians to deliver high‑quality diagnostics, servicing, repairs and maintenance on a wide range of commercial turf and horticultural machinery. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who enjoys problem‑solving, delivers high‑quality workmanship, and wants to build a long‑term career with a leading dealership.
General duties:
- Perform diagnostics, service, repairs and maintenance on horticultural equipment.
- Perform pre‑delivery set‑up on new or used equipment.
- Complete administration tasks (including time sheets and job cards).
- Maintain a clean workstation at all times.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and technical knowledge.
The role requires you to act in a professional manner and actively promote Ripon Ground Care with positivity and integrity. Knowledge of agricultural equipment would be preferred, however full training on products and systems will be provided. A full, valid driving licence is required as you will need to drive to customers' sites and drive company vehicles.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday (8 am to 5 pm). Must be flexible to support with overtime to suit the business demands, this will be seasonally, evenings and weekends.
