Experienced Barista at Ripe

Full-time, 40 hours per week – no evenings

We\’re looking for an Experienced Barista with passion, creativity and a willingness to improve existing skills as well as learn new ones.

The right candidate will join our team at at our cafe in the middle of the 413 Acre, Trent Country Park, Cockfosters (Enfield / Barnet border). This is a unique moment to step in — over the next three months we\’re upgrading our bar, refreshing our menu, and relaunching our customer space. You\’ll play a key role in shaping how coffee, tea and non-alcoholic drinks are prepared, served, and enjoyed in our café.

Our espresso comes from Square Mile, ground on a Mythos and brewed on our La Marzocco GB5s. We also serve award-winning teas from our sister company Primrose Hill Teas and homemade food from our talented kitchen.

What you\’ll do

Alongside leading the day-to-day bar, you\’ll:

• Develop, rotate and QC coffee and non-alcoholic recipes.
• Deliver in-house training (Intro to Coffee & Barista Skills).
• Manage and maintain FoH equipment (cleaning, calibration, servicing).
• Oversee coffee and FoH stock: ordering, suppliers, min/par levels.
• Input into SOP updates and service standards.
• Ensure beverage quality is consistently high across the team.

Who you are

• Experienced barista, confident on competition-standard machines and grinders.
• Passionate about coffee, tea and creative drinks — with ideas to bring to the table.
• A strong communicator and team player; reliable, punctual, upbeat.
• Happy training others and sharing your knowledge.
• Organised with stock, suppliers and systems.
• (Competition wins not required — but passion, skill and personality are a must).
