We are supporting a large healthcare organisation that is seeking an experienced interim infrastructure leader to step into a critical stabilisation and transformation assignment. The organisation operates in a highly service-sensitive environment, where technology underpins clinical delivery and customer experience. They are currently experiencing some infrastructure instability, which is impacting operational performance and service consistency. This role is focused on immediate intervention and longer-term improvement.
The Role
- You will take ownership of the infrastructure environment, quickly assessing the root causes of instability and implementing the changes required to restore reliability and performance.
- This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring someone who can operate at pace, bring structure to complexity and deliver tangible improvements in a live environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a rapid diagnostic of infrastructure across cloud, hosting, networks and core platforms
- Identify and resolve the underlying causes of outages and performance issues
- Stabilise the environment and improve uptime across business-critical systems
- Strengthen resilience, redundancy and failover capability
- Implement effective monitoring, alerting and incident management processes
- Improve governance, change control and operational discipline
- Review and optimise third-party and supplier relationships
- Define a clear, pragmatic infrastructure roadmap aligned to business priorities
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience stabilising and improving complex infrastructure environments under pressure
- Strong technical grounding across cloud platforms, networks and enterprise hosting
- Track record of resolving outages and improving service reliability in live, business-critical settings
- Hands-on approach with the ability to move between strategy and delivery
- Comfortable engaging senior stakeholders across technology and commercial functions
- Experience within healthcare or other regulated, service-critical environments is beneficial but not essential
