We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled TA looking to develop their career and take on a wider role in supporting inclusion and student achievement.
The successful candidate will oversee SEND provision within an assigned Key Stage, support students with physical disabilities, and work closely with colleagues to remove barriers to learning and promote participation across the school.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting and overseeing SEND provision within an assigned Key Stage.
- Supporting students with physical disabilities and improving accessibility.
- Working alongside the PE department to promote inclusion, confidence and participation.
- Line managing designated Teaching Assistants, including supporting their training and development.
- Delivering targeted support to individuals, groups and whole classes.
- Monitoring student progress and contributing to effective intervention strategies.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working as a Teaching Assistant.
- Has a strong commitment to inclusive education and supporting students with SEND.
- Demonstrates excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Works effectively as part of a team and can build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
- Holds qualifications in English and Mathematics at Level 2 or above.
Previous HLTA experience is not essential, and we welcome applications from experienced Teaching Assistants who are ready to take the next step in their career. Training and support will be provided for the successful candidate.
