Ringway is seeking an experienced Structures Project Manager to join our team on the Gloucestershire Highways contract.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for leading the planning, delivery, and management of structural maintenance and improvement schemes across the highways network – ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to budget, while meeting the expectations of our client and stakeholders.

Purpose of the role and your responsibilities;

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of highways structures projects, from concept design through to construction and handover
  • Lead project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery
  • Promote and enforce health, safety, and environmental best practice across all works, carrying out inspections and risk assessments as required
  • Act as the key point of contact for Gloucestershire County Council and other stakeholders, building strong and effective relationships
  • Develop project programmes, monitor progress, and manage risks to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget
  • Oversee cost bookings, valuations, and reporting in line with contract requirements

Essential skills required;

The role of Structures Project Manager requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and the ability to manage projects from inception to completion. You’ll need to bring:

  • A degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Proven experience managing highways structures projects (bridges, retaining walls, culverts, or similar)
  • Strong organisational, leadership, and project management skills
