Job Title: Highways Technician

What You’ll Do:
- Support the delivery of highway maintenance and improvement projects that benefit local communities.
- Assist with planning, mobilisation, and supervision of works to improve roads and infrastructure.
- Use digital tools, including GIS mapping software, to support project delivery.
- Carry out site visits to conduct audits, resolve issues, order materials, and prepare documentation – no two days are the same!
- Work closely with engineers, contractors, and local authorities.
- Learn about sustainable practices and innovative solutions in transport.
What We’re Looking For:
- Knowledge or experience in surface dressing or carriageway patching.
- A willingness to learn, problem-solve, and show initiative.
- Basic understanding of highways or construction.
- Strong IT skills.
- A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
- NVQ-level accreditation (desirable).
- A full, clean UK driving licence.
