This is an operational role starting and finishing from depot, requiring attendance at the depot each working day.

Location: South Mimms

Responsibilities:

  • Cat 2 job building
  • Cat 3 job building
  • Building Works Packs
  • Work safely and promote a safe environment for all operations
  • Use Key Performance Measures to drive improvements
  • Monitor the skills and experience of staff and operatives within the Business Unit and work with the Contracts Manager to plan training and development
  • Understanding of CDM and Temp Works
  • Carry out duties in line with all Company Procedures and Policies
  • Ensure all work is carried out to the correct specification/standard
  • All work and operations to meet criteria of Environmental Policies
  • Actively foster a positive staff morale
  • Willingly carry out any reasonable task as requested by a member of the management team

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experienced in working with Microsoft Office
  • Software systems related to highway maintenance such as Confirm and Esri
  • Good written skills including report writing
  • Accuracy/attention to detail
  • Previous experience working and managing in the highway maintenance industry
  • Local Hertfordshire Road Network knowledge would be desirable
  • Applied understanding of safety, quality and environmental issues
  • Experience in cost management and system utilisation

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full Time - 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
