Job Role Ringway Infrastructure Services is looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our London Projects Team.
Business Unit5105 - London Location London This is an excellent opportunity for a highways design professional who wants to remain hands-on with design whilst also supporting, mentoring and developing junior engineers and technicians.
Working on behalf of Transport for London and London Borough clients, you'll play a key role in delivering a diverse range of highway improvement schemes across the capital.
Duties Producing and reviewing highway design drawings, specifications and reports.
Acting as Design Lead across multiple concurrent projects.
Leading designs through the full project lifecycle.
Managing project programmes and design delivery milestones.
Supporting and mentoring engineers, graduates and technicians.
Ensuring designs are safe, buildable and compliant with relevant standards.
Supporting delegated Principal Designer duties in accordance with CDM regulations.
Liaising with clients, stakeholders and internal operational teams.
Providing design assurance and technical guidance across the wider team.
Supporting commercial performance, forecasting and delivery against framework requirements.
Person Specification Experience delivering highways design schemes within London or similar urban environments.
Strong knowledge of UK highway design standards.
Previous experience working within consultancy, contractor or framework environments.
Experience designing carriageway, footway, cycling, bus and public realm schemes.
Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and highway safety requirements.
The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Commercial awareness and programme management capability.
