We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our Hertfordshire team. This is an operational role based at one of our depots, requiring daily attendance. You will play a key part in managing the job building and works ordering process, including preparing Works Packs, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards, and supporting the delivery of both project and third-party works.
Duties
- Build and manage Category 2 and Category 3 jobs
- Prepare and issue Works Packs
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment
- Use Key Performance Measures to drive improvements
- Monitor skills and training needs within the team
- Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and temporary works requirements
- Maintain high standards of quality and environmental compliance
- Support positive team morale and collaboration
- Carry out any reasonable tasks requested by management
Person Specification
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience with highway maintenance software (e.g., Confirm, Esri)
- Strong written skills, including report writing
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Previous experience in highway maintenance or similar industry
- Knowledge of the local Hertfordshire road network (desirable)
