We're seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Measurement Engineer to join our Hertfordshire team and play a key role in the planning, coordination and delivery of highway maintenance works.
Business Unit: 5049 - Hertfordshire
Based from the depot each working day, you'll be responsible for managing the job building and works ordering process, developing works packs, and supporting the safe, efficient delivery of both project and third-party works.
You'll work closely with operational teams, contractors and stakeholders to ensure works are delivered to the highest standards of safety, quality and environmental compliance.
Duties
- Building and managing Category 2 and Category 3 highway maintenance jobs.
- Producing comprehensive Works Packs to support operational delivery.
- Ensuring all works are delivered safely and in accordance with company procedures, specifications and environmental standards.
- Supporting the monitoring, development and training of operational teams.
- Using performance measures and operational data to drive continual improvement.
- Working collaboratively with management teams, clients and stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
- Applying your understanding of CDM regulations and Temporary Works requirements in project delivery.
Person Specification
- Previous experience within the highways maintenance industry.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using highways management systems such as Confirm and Esri.
- Excellent written communication and report-writing skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- A sound understanding of health & safety, quality & environmental requirements.
- Experience in cost management and system utilisation.
- Knowledge of the Hertfordshire road network would be advantageous.
