We’re looking for a driven and detail-focused Finance Assistant to join our growing team in Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in finance, whether you already have experience or are just starting out.

YOU’ll play a key role in supporting the finance function, working closely with the Finance Controller and wider team to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day financial operations.

Duties:
  • Processing and managing invoices within the purchase ledger (Accounts Payable)
  • Chasing approvals and resolving invoice queries
  • Supporting costing and financial tracking, including hire costs
  • Producing and analysing reports using SAP and Excel
  • Assisting with weekly financial reporting
  • Supporting the Finance Controller and Assistant Accountant with ad hoc tasks
  • Ensuring accurate and timely financial data management
Person Specification:
  • Some experience in finance (e.g., accounts payable / purchase ledger) or a strong interest in building a finance career
  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong Excel skills (or willingness to develop)
  • A proactive and positive approach
Qualifications:
  • AAT (studying or completed) – desirable
  • Keen to support candidates looking to study AAT

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full Time – 40 hours, Monday to Friday
