Ringway is recruiting a Design Engineer to support the design and delivery of highway schemes across Hertfordshire. You’ll work closely with senior engineers and delivery teams, gaining exposure to the full lifecycle of highways projects in a collaborative and supportive environment. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress their engineering career within a major highways service contract.

Duties

  • Supporting highway design and technical documentation
  • Assisting with project planning, coordination, and delivery
  • Ensuring designs comply with DMRB, TSRGD, CDM, and local standards
  • Coordinating with internal teams, clients, and statutory bodies
  • Supporting cost estimates, risk management, and programme updates

Person Specification

  • Experience or background in highways engineering or infrastructure
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail and safety‑first mindset
  • Willingness to learn and develop within a structured team

  • Full Time – 45 hours, Monday to Friday
