Job Role
We are recruiting for a Supervisor to join a busy highways maintenance team in Worcester, overseeing planned drainage works across the network. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong drainage and temporary works experience to step into a key operational leadership position.

Duties
- Supervising 2-3 drainage gangs across planned works programmes.
- Coordinating day-to-day drainage operations.
- Preparing job packs, work documentation and health & safety paperwork.
- Managing temporary works activities and compliance requirements.
- Carrying out regular site visits and inspections.
- Liaising with operational teams and clients.
- Monitoring productivity, quality and programme delivery.
- Supporting safe working practices across all sites.
The position is approximately 70% office-based and 30% site-based, offering a mixture of operational planning and hands-on site supervision.
Person Specification
- Previous drainage experience within highways, utilities or civil engineering.
- Strong understanding of temporary works.
- Experience supervising teams, gangs or subcontractors.
- Knowledge of excavations, drainage installations and reinstatement activities.
- Good health & safety awareness.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
