Ringway Infrastructure Services is recruiting for a Supervisor – Traffic Management (Technology) to support the delivery of technology works across the National Highways South West contract. This hands‑on leadership role involves supervising operational teams and subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will oversee the day‑to‑day delivery of technology‑related works, taking ownership of Traffic Management requirements and ensuring all operations meet safety, quality, and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise operational teams and subcontractors delivering technology works.
  • Take ownership of Traffic Management arrangements for all planned works.
  • Oversee routine maintenance, winter maintenance, and emergency response activities.
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, in line with company procedures and statutory requirements.
  • Monitor productivity, quality and KPI performance across sites.
  • Produce weekly cost and value reports using internal systems.
  • Undertake site visits to monitor compliance and performance.
  • Review and manage RAMS and Road Space requirements.
  • Support training and development of operatives in collaboration with the Project Manager.
  • Manage plant, fleet and equipment, promoting effective use and reducing damage incidents.

Person Specification

  • Experience in a supervisory role within highways, infrastructure or Traffic Management.
  • Strong knowledge of Traffic Management operations and requirements.
  • Experience reviewing and submitting Road Space applications.
  • Experience managing and reviewing RAMS.
  • Ability to supervise teams and subcontractors in a live operational environment.
  • Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

  • 12A/B, 12C, 12D T7 qualifications.
  • High‑speed Traffic Management experience.
  • Experience in highways technology or National Highways contracts.

  • Type: Permanent
  • Hours: Full Time – 40 hours, Monday to Friday.
  • Location: Bristol
