Ringway Infrastructure Services is recruiting for a Road Space Co‑ordinator to join the Roadside Technology team on the National Highways South West contract. This key coordination role is responsible for planning and managing traffic management and road space requirements to support the delivery of technology works across the network. You will ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with client and stakeholder expectations. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will take ownership of all traffic management and road space planning activity, ensuring applications are submitted accurately and works are coordinated effectively. You will work closely with operational teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to deliver reactive and planned works while maintaining high safety, quality, and performance standards.

Duties

  • Plan and coordinate traffic management requirements for technology works
  • Prepare and submit road space applications in line with programme requirements
  • Coordinate operational teams and subcontractors to deliver works safely and efficiently
  • Assist in the preparation of job packs for delivery teams
  • Act as a key point of liaison between depots, teams, and stakeholders
  • Monitor performance against productivity, quality, and safety targets
  • Promote and utilise internal systems to track and manage works
  • Support depot operations, including audits and general checks
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and strong team collaboration

Person Specification

  • Experience in coordination, planning, or a similar operational role
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritise effectively
  • Experience reviewing/submitting road space applications
  • Understanding of RAMS
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

Desirable

  • Experience within highways, infrastructure, or traffic management
  • Knowledge of high‑speed or traffic management operations
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. 12A/B, 12C, 12D T7)

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full Time – 40 hours, Monday to Friday
