Quantity Surveyor
Contract: Cheshire East Highways
Location: Crewe
Contract Type: Permanent
We are looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial Team, collaborating with our Design and Road Safety Teams. You’ll manage the full lifecycle of design-build schemes under the NEC3 Term Service Contract (Options A, C, and E), ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Your role will involve cost planning, budget management, financial reporting, and contract administration—from feasibility to final account settlement. You\’ll prepare tender documents, oversee subcontractor payments, and advise on contractual claims and disputes.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and a strong negotiator, with excellent cost management and communication skills to work effectively with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
The Role
•Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports.
• Conduct risk, value management, and cost control.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Monitor project progress and handle any change management
About You
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Experience of NEC3/4 or similar construction contracts
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in cost management.
• Hold a UK driving licence
