Join our five-year Level 6 Civil Engineering Degree Apprenticeship at Ringway Jacobs and earn a BEng while gaining hands-on experience across key areas of our business. You'll rotate through five core placements—Structures, Development Management, Highways Design, Construction & Maintenance, and Road Safety—with opportunities to shadow support teams like Finance, Commercial, and Asset Management. This structured programme combines real-world projects (valued up to £5 million) with 20% off-the-job training, preparing you for professional accreditation with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). You’ll work closely with experienced engineers on a wide range of civil and highway projects.

The Role

  • Assist with the preparation, design, planning, programming, and ordering of capital and revenue works and services.
  • Assist with the development of designs through the use of CAD based software.
  • Production of scheme work packages including Pre construction information.
  • Maintain accurate records on the allocated projects.
  • Assist with correspondence relating to work areas and provide timely and accurate responses.

About You

  • 3 A Levels including Maths OR BTEC Level 3 in an Engineering or Construction discipline is desirable.
  • An equivalent technical qualification (i.e. T level) is also acceptable.
  • Level 5 (B) in Maths and Level 4 (C) in English.
  • 96 UCAS Points (Fewer points may be accepted if applicant holds relevant industry experience).
  • Experience of using MS packages – Word, Excel and Outlook is desirable.
  • A current valid driving licence is desirable for this role.
