Driver Performance & Training Co‑ordinator

Contract Type: Permanent

Ringway Jacobs is seeking a Driver Performance & Training Co‑ordinator to join their Essex Highways contract. This pivotal role sits within the Driver Improvement Team, supporting the delivery and quality of NDORS courses offered as an alternative to prosecution. Reporting to the Senior Monitor and working closely with the Booking Office, you will ensure high standards through ongoing monitoring and trainer development.

You will work from home for digital tasks and travel across Essex, Southend, and Thurrock, with occasional evening and weekend commitments. As Trainer Co‑ordinator, you will support SERP’s team of nearly 100 trainers, ensuring consistent and compliant course delivery. You will also collaborate with internal and external partners on work‑related road safety initiatives and contribute to developing new courses aligned with Vision Zero.

The Role

  • Monitor and support trainers, including observing performance, providing feedback, ensuring compliance with UKROEd/SERP standards, and contributing to training improvements.
  • Deliver NDORS courses (online and in‑venue) as a licensed UKROEd trainer, using effective coaching techniques to support learner engagement.
  • Maintain administrative compliance, including accurate trainer records, scheduling communication, data reporting, and supporting internal and external audits.
  • Ensure safe and consistent course operations, identifying risks, supporting health & safety and business continuity, and coordinating with the Driver Improvement Team.
  • Contribute to wider road safety initiatives by monitoring additional interventions and providing feedback to support service development.

About You

  • UKROEd Trainer Licence and ADI Licence (held for a minimum of one year).
  • Proven experience as a driver trainer or coach.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills to manage records, schedules, and compliance.

In return for your hard work you will receive:

  • Sick Pay
  • Opportunity to purchase up to 5 days extra leave
  • A variety of discounts through our “RJ Rewards” app, including restaurants, holidays, days out etc.
  • Life Assurance
  • Employee Assistance Programme
