Are you an ambitious and versatile boxing fitness coach? We\’re looking for part-time coach to join our dynamic team at Rings Boxing and help us deliver exceptional classes and support to both children and adults.
About the Role:
As a key member of our coaching team, you\’ll deliver and plan engaging boxing classes while contributing to the continuous improvement of our club. Your primary role will be to provide first-rate coaching and ensure a safe, supportive environment for all members.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging boxing and fitness classes for all ages.
- Plan and develop innovative training programs.
- Monitor the well-being and safety of all members during training sessions.
- Provide first aid when necessary and ensure emergency procedures are followed.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with club members and fellow team members.
- Recognise and address any safeguarding issues, adhering to policies and procedures.
- Drive both individual and team development through motivational leadership.
- Communicate effectively in complex and high-pressure situations.
- Work with individuals of all skill levels, adapting coaching techniques as needed.
What we are looking for
- A reliable and professional Level 2 coach who understands their responsibility under England Boxing
- Someone who puts boxer safety, development and welfare first
- A coach who can act as Head Coach for affiliation purposes and oversee boxing standards
- Someone comfortable working within a committee led amateur club structure
- A coach who can mentor and support Level 1 coaches where needed
- Clear communicator with good session organisation
- Someone aligned with a disciplined, respectful gym culture
- Willing to engage with England Boxing processes including inspections, compliance and governance
- Flexible availability for agreed sessions and occasional competition support
- Someone who understands boundaries and separation between coaching and governance
Experience
Essential
- England Boxing Level 2 Coaching Qualification
- Current England Boxing membership
- Experience delivering structured boxing sessions to mixed ability groups
- Experience coaching technical boxing skills safely and progressively
- Experience working within England Boxing rules and standards
- Confident running sessions independently
- Experience working with adult boxers and developing athletes
Desirable
- Experience supporting or acting as Head Coach within an amateur boxing club
- England Boxing Level 3 Coaching Qualification
- Experience preparing boxers for competition
- Experience working alongside Level 1 coaches
- Experience contributing to club development or pathway planning
- Experience coaching youth or cadet boxers
- First Aid qualification
- Enhanced DBS or willingness to complete one
- Experience working within professional boxing environments
- BBBoC coaching qualifications or experience (desirable but not essential)
- Understanding of the differences between amateur and professional boxing pathways
