A new opportunity has arisen for a qualified Legal Advisor to join our successful Wills & Probate Department. To be successful in this role, you should have experience during or after training with Wills, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and Deputyship applications to the Court of Protection. Knowledge of trusts is also beneficial. A willingness to work towards STEP accreditation will be expected and supported. You must present a professional image at all times, be well-presented, confident, and possess excellent communication skills. The role requires a hardworking, empathetic, and sympathetic approach, especially when dealing with clients facing bereavement or loss of mental capacity. The position is based in our Sleaford office but involves regular travel to other offices.
Activities include, but are not limited to:
- Promoting the firm’s full range of services, with a primary focus on Wills, Probate, and Private Client matters.
- Managing client work assigned by the Head of Department or other fee-earners, following the firm’s procedures and quality standards.
- Ensuring all work progresses efficiently, keeping clients informed about outcomes, progress, and costs.
- Maintaining high standards of client care in a professional and friendly manner.
- Protecting the confidentiality and security of all documentation and information.
- Achieving billing and time recording targets.
- Communicating clearly and effectively with colleagues and external contacts.
- Fostering good relationships with internal teams and external organizations.
- Engaging in self-development and training as required.
- Supporting departmental administration and leadership.
