Our Discrimination Department is one of the foremost in the region and has been growing for several years.
We are currently seeking a candidate with 2-4 years’ PQE as a solicitor, legal executive, or someone with equivalent experience as a discrimination advisor or with a personal injury/civil litigation background. The role involves managing a busy caseload of discrimination cases, from taking new instructions to trial or settlement in county court.
The Department is known for providing a high-quality, personal service tailored to our clients\’ needs. Our team offers an approachable and down-to-earth service for a diverse client base, with a proven track record of excellent results. We are progressive, forward-thinking, and actively seek new opportunities through marketing and business development.
The successful candidate will handle a demanding workload and contribute to the growth of the department, including participation in marketing events and seminars to build experience.
Our offices are located in Lincoln, Newark, Sleaford, Grantham, Boston, Grimsby, Nottingham, Peterborough, and Sheffield. This role is primarily based in Lincoln, with flexibility for partial remote work after a successful probation period.
Key activities include:
- Managing all client work allocated by the Head of Department.
- Ensuring timely progress of client matters and keeping clients informed.
- Providing high standards of client care professionally and courteously.
- Achieving performance targets.
- Maintaining confidentiality and security of all documentation and information.
- Communicating clearly with colleagues and external institutions.
Experience Required
- Law Degree (or equivalent); LPC qualification; Legal Executive qualification.
- 2-4 years PQE as a solicitor, legal executive, or equivalent experience in discrimination or personal injury/civil litigation within a law firm.
- Excellent IT and case management skills, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Experience with case management systems is advantageous.
- Professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, confident in social interactions.
- Hardworking and capable of working under tight deadlines.
