This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager, or a strong Deputy Manager ready to step up, to play a key role in registering and developing a new home. Hybrid working will be available during the registration phase, offering flexibility while the service is being set up.
As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Ofsted registration process, ensuring compliance, and creating a safe, structured, and child-centred environment where young people can thrive.
Responsibilities- Lead the Ofsted registration and setup of a new children's residential home
- Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Ofsted standards
- Oversee day-to-day management of the home following registration
- Recruit, supervise, and develop a committed staff team
- Take overall responsibility for safeguarding, care quality, and regulatory compliance
- Build effective working relationships with external professionals and local authorities
- Create a stable, supportive, and trauma-informed environment for young people
- Experience as a Registered Manager, or a strong Deputy Manager ready to progress
- Background working within EBD children’s residential care
- Knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and compliance requirements
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards)
- 2 years experience in a residential children’s care home within the past 5 years
- Proven experience (>1yr) in a senior leadership role involving the management and supervision of people in a care role
