Join our Engineering Team to drive project success through technical excellence, stakeholder engagement, and leadership. Responsibilities Lead technical delivery of substation designs (AIS/GIS) up to 400kV. Review and approve engineering designs, specifications, reports, and calculations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (Protection & Control, Civil/Structural). Mentor junior engineers and support their development. Interface with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. Ensure compliance with regulations (CDM, UK H&S) and safety by design. Support tender development, resource planning, budgeting, and QA processes. Act as Principal Designer when needed and contribute to design management practices. Qualifications and Experience Minimum 10 years in T&D or Power Systems Engineering. Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Chartered Engineer (CEng) status. Expertise in substation design up to 132kV+ (preferably up to 400kV). Strong knowledge of ENA/BS/IEC/IEEE standards. Experience with SLDs, layouts, CT/VT design, and auxiliary systems. Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and MicroStation. Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills. Health & Safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH). CDM 2015 training. Experience in mentoring, business development, and QA.
