As a Junior System Consultant at RINA Tech UK Limited, you will play a pivotal role in assisting our client and internal teams with the oversight and management of complex system development programmes. Guided by experienced senior consultants, you will engage in technical evaluations, facilitate project coordination, and verify adherence to both contractual and engineering standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in the power systems sector while contributing to impactful engineering projects.
Key Accountabilities
- Client Support & Technical Supervision: Collaborate in the detailed review of technical documentation to ensure accuracy and alignment with project objectives and client expectations. Support the monitoring of contractors' on-site activities, diligently gather data for status updates, and contribute to progress assessments to maintain project transparency.
- Project Planning & Coordination: Assist in maintaining and updating comprehensive project schedules, ensuring that all milestones and deliverables are clearly documented and tracked. Liaise effectively with internal multidisciplinary teams to facilitate smooth communication channels and timely reporting across project phases.
- Verification, Validation & Quality Oversight: Contribute to the drafting and review of test procedures, verification matrices, and comprehensive reports, ensuring robust quality assurance practices. Support the registration and monitoring of Non-Conformances (NCs) and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), assisting in their timely resolution.
- Risk & Performance Management: Proactively identify potential technical or scheduling risks, escalating issues in a timely manner to mitigate impact. Assist in conducting performance evaluations and technical reviews, aiding senior consultants to maintain high project standards under supervision.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and draft technical notes, review comments, and meeting minutes with attention to detail to ensure clarity and accuracy. Maintain rigorous traceability of project documents to guarantee completeness and compliance throughout all project stages.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic/TLC Engineering or Electronics.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering, or a related Electronics discipline.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant experience in systems engineering, technical consultancy, or project support in an engineering environment.
- A foundational understanding of the system development lifecycle, including configuration management and verification methodologies.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, facilitating efficient task management and reporting.
- Strong analytical capabilities coupled with excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
- A proactive and detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality and continuous learning.
