RINA is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to perform inspection activities on behalf of RINA for our esteemed clients in the UK.
The inspector must have experience inspecting umbilicals, electrical cables, and offshore equipment. Familiarity with relevant standards (e.g., API 17E) and project specifications is required. Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems is essential. Experience in offshore or subsea environments is preferred.
Qualifications:
- Mechanical Degree (Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Welding Engineering) or relevant high-school background
- Certificates such as NDT, welding, coating, etc.
- At least 3 years as an Offshore Inspector
- Ability to conduct inspections at vendor premises and on client or third-party projects
- Ability to prepare daily/weekly inspection reports
- Adequate level of English for reporting, understanding international standards/codes, and communicating with clients
Contract: Freelancer or inspector agency, ad hoc activities.
