This is a full-time, on-site role based in Basildon. As the Technical Sales Manager, you will manage your own schedule, help build relationships with potentially new customers, and maintain existing relationships. Working hours are Monday to Thursday: 8am-5pm. Starting salary is based on industry experience plus a performance-related bonus.

Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the manufacture of tooling for successful quotations, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards.
  • Providing technical support to the mould shop, offering expertise on processing, tooling, and materials. Managing the repair and modification of existing tooling when necessary to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions including visit reports and updates to ensure continuous growth and performance.
  • Contributing to the creation and maintenance of marketing strategies to support business growth.
  • Supporting and managing apprentices from local colleges to help invest in the future at Rimplas.

Requirements:

  • Understanding of injection moulding process & polymers.
  • Experience of post-moulding operations including painting, inserting, and mechanical assembly would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of engineering structural foam moulding (ESF) and Reaction Injection Polyurethane moulding (RIM) would be advantageous.
  • Interest in or experience with sales/technical sales, with a proven ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
