We are seeking a dynamic and skilled ESG & Impact Manager to lead the design and delivery of impactful engagements. This role is pivotal in helping clients articulate how their core business and initiatives (e.g., CSR) create meaningful short- and long-term change. While also contributing to sustainability (ESG) reporting, the primary focus of this role will be on impact engagements that emphasize high rigour and robust evidence. You will report into the Chief Commercial Officer and work closely with the data science team.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the development of targeted impact and sustainability reporting engagements, ensuring alignment with client objectives and best practices.
- Gather key parameters to design client-specific ESG and impact frameworks, including creating and owning Theories of Change, and calculating Social Return on Investment (SROI).
- Support the preparation of compliance-oriented ESG reports aligned with global and ESG standards (e.g., GRI, TCFD, IFRS, CSRD or similar).
- Generate intellectual property (IP) from guidance documents and framework development.
- Help the wider team take ownership of sustainability frameworks from both guidance and implementation standpoints.
- Research and interpret sustainability guidelines, regulations, and frameworks, and incorporate them into the platform.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive, high-rigor impact reports that highlight the positive change driven by clients’ core operations and CSR initiatives.
- Ensure all deliverables meet high standards of accuracy, clarity, and impact.
- Collaborate effectively across departments, including Business Development, Product Development, and Data Science.
- Stay updated on the latest market, regulatory, and competitor trends in the ESG and sustainability space.
Ideal Profile:
- You have at least 4 years of experience implementing sustainability frameworks for an organization.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field e.g. sustainability, environmental science etc. would be advantageous.
- Proficiency with reporting frameworks (e.g., IRIS+, GRI, TCFD, IFRS, CSRD or similar).
- A thorough understanding of and ability to interpret climate and sustainability related data.
- You have the ability to manage and build a team, with direct line management experience.
- You have the ability to understand tech products in the sustainability space and can see the link between how the product is built to capture what the client is looking for.
- You are analytical, hands-on professional with a strong positive attitude.
- You are passionate about the sustainability industry and strive to create a positive impact.
- You work well in fast-paced environments and are good at asynchronous communication.
