Who You Are

  • A well-rounded machinist with CNC machining experience (lathe and/or mill).
  • Experience operating OMAX waterjet systems (preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Willingness to take on varied responsibilities and support different departments as needed.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and housekeeping standards. Enjoys working across multiple machines and processes

  • What You’ll Do
  • This position primarily focuses on operating and maintaining our
  • OMAX 55100 Waterjet system

, while also supporting CNC mill, CNC lathe, and manual machining operations as needed.

  • Waterjet Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate our

OMAX 55100 Waterjet cutting system to produce components in accordance with drawings, specifications, and work instructions.

  • Understand, operate, and maintain the waterjet machine and all required support equipment.
  • Interpret technical drawings, models, and technical documents to ensure appropriate tolerances, edge quality, and stock allowance for downstream machining operations.
  • Program, edit, and troubleshoot cutting programs at the machine, including modifying DXF files, tool paths, lead-ins/outs, kerf compensation, and quality settings.
  • Select and verify correct materials and thickness before cutting; adjust parameters accordingly.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance
  • CNC & Manual Machining Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate Tsugami M08SY CNC Lathe and Okuma M560 CNC Mill
  • Perform basic program edits and offsets as required.
  • Assist with setup, tooling changes, and workholding adjustments.
  • Operate manual mills and lathes for secondary operations, prototypes, and support
  • Collaborate with programmers and machinists to ensure parts are optimized for downstream operations.
