We are working with a highly regarded SEMH secondary school in Bromley, part of a respected multi-academy trust, to appoint a dedicated Maths Teacher who is passionate about making Maths accessible, engaging, and impactful for students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. This is a unique opportunity to join a school that truly values relationship-building, small-group teaching, and restorative, trauma-informed practice.
About the Role:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 students with SEMH needs
- Differentiating content to meet a range of learning abilities and EHCP targets
- Fostering a calm, nurturing, and safe classroom environment
- Working collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and school leaders
- Helping pupils build confidence, resilience, and a love for learning
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- QTS (or equivalent) – applications from ECTs also welcome
- A strong understanding of teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4
- Experience working with SEMH or SEN pupils (desirable but not essential)
- A patient, resilient, and trauma-informed approach to classroom management
- A genuine passion for inclusive education and helping all learners succeed
- An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
