Rikama Education Ltd are currently working with a primary school in Ebbsfleet who are looking to recruit a passionate and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant. As a Teaching Assistant you will be working with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis who need additional support. Ideally, you will have experience of working as a Teaching Assistant with students and supporting learning in EYFS, KS1 &/or KS2 and a good understanding of SEN.

The ideal candidate would have a strong track record of working in a 1:1 setting with a strong knowledge of SEN. The school has an excellent support team and experienced SLT as part of the extended team.

The role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support
  • Manage any challenging behaviours appropriately
  • Follow the Early Years framework

It is essential that you have:

  • Previous experience working with EYFS students.
  • A minimum Level 2 qualification.
  • A DBS registered to the update system or willing to have a new one run.
  • Experience working with ASD students or special needs experience.

These are full time, long term positions working Monday-Friday, 8:30 – 3:30pm, term time only. For the right candidates, a temp to permanent contract may be offered.
