Rikama Education Ltd. are currently working with a special school in Sittingbourne who are looking for a number of SEN Teaching Assistants to start as soon as possible for both Primary and Secondary learners. You will be able to let us know which age group you would prefer.
This role has the opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate. The school offers excellent facilities on an extremely large site and educates and cares for students (mixed boys and girls) aged from 4 to 19 with PMLD, Complex Needs, Mental health conditions, challenging behaviour and who are on the Autistic spectrum. Please note, some roles could require personal care.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for:
- Supporting students across Primary and Secondary ages with a range of individual needs including PMLD, mental health, ASD and challenging behaviour.
- Promoting positive behaviour and managing challenging behaviour.
- Supporting on either a 1 to 1 or small group basis.
- Having excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
